Homepage with Jekyll
Today I did a styling update of my jekyll based homepage/blog.
The changes were:
-
Usage of the font “Droid Sans”. This looks just better. It’s a free font, so, if you don’t have it yet, I’d recommend to install it: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Droid+Sans
-
Switch to bootstrap. See here: http://getbootstrap.com
-
Redesign the homepage / blog. The inspirations are from:
- http://moinulhossain.me/rifyll/, Code: https://github.com/itsrifat/rifyll
- http://qckanemoto.github.io/jekyll-qck-theme/about/, Code: https://github.com/qckanemoto/jekyll-qck-theme
- Especially this one gave me the simple tag search and archive overview.
-
And last, but not least: http://jekyllrb.com/ - Jekyll itself.
